국립한밭대 조진균 교수 연구실, ‘2026 대한건축학회 추계학술발표대회’ 우수발표논문상 대표 수상

□ 국립한밭대학교(총장 오용준) 건축설비시스템공학과 조진균 교수가 지도하는 ESDL(Energy Systems Design Laboratory) 연구실 소속 안지혁 석사과정생이 ‘2026년 대한건축학회 추계학술발표대회’에서 우수발표논문상 대표 수상의 영예를 안았다고 전했다.
○ 대한건축학회는 지난 21일부터 23일까지 대전컨벤션센터에서 추계학술발표대회를 열고, 조진균 교수 연구팀의 논문을 우수발표논문으로 선정하여 시상식에서 안지혁 학생을 대표 수상자로 시상했다.
□ 이번에 수상한 논문은 ‘데이터센터 냉각시스템 에너지 성능분석 프로그램 개발 및 사례 연구’로, 안지혁․김하람․변상우․조진균이 공동 저자로 참여했다.
○ 해당 연구는 데이터센터 냉각시스템의 에너지 성능을 체계적으로 평가할 수 있는 분석 프로그램을 개발하고, 이를 활용한 사례 연구를 제시했다.
○ 특히 AI 데이터센터의 급속한 확산으로 냉각에너지 효율과 시스템 최적화의 중요성이 커지는 가운데, 실제 설계 및 운영에 활용할 수 있는 에너지 성능평가 기술을 제시했다는 점에서 의미가 있다.
□ 한편, 국립한밭대 건축설비시스템공학과 조진균 교수 연구팀은 AI 데이터센터의 고밀도 냉각기술, 액체냉각 및 에너지 성능 최적화 분야에서 다양한 연구를 수행하고 있으며, 산업현장에 적용 가능한 냉각기술 개발과 전문 연구인력 양성에 힘쓰고 있다.
□ It was announced that Ahn Ji-hyuk, a master's student in the ESDL (Energy Systems Design Laboratory) under Professor Cho Jin-gyun of the Department of Building Equipment Systems Engineering at Hanbat National University (President Oh Yong-jun), received the Grand Prize for Best Presentation Paper at the 2026 Korean Institute of Architects Fall Conference.
○ The Architectural Institute of Korea held its Fall Academic Conference at the Daejeon Convention Center from the 21st to the 23rd, selecting a paper by Professor Jin-Gyun Cho's research team as an outstanding presentation and awarding it to student Ahn Ji-hyuk as the representative recipient at the ceremony.
□ The awarded paper is titled 'Development of an Energy Performance Analysis Program for Data Center Cooling Systems and Case Studies,' with co-authors An Ji-hyuk, Kim Ha-ram, Byun Sang-woo, and Cho Jin-gyun.
○ This study developed an analytical program for systematically evaluating the energy performance of data center cooling systems and presented a case study utilizing it.
○ Notably, as the rapid expansion of AI data centers increases the importance of cooling energy efficiency and system optimization, this work is significant in that it presents energy performance evaluation technology that can be applied in actual design and operation.
□ Meanwhile, Professor Jin-Gyun Cho’s research team in the Department of Building and Facility Systems Engineering at Hanbat National University is conducting various studies in high-density cooling technology for AI data centers, as well as in liquid cooling and energy performance optimization, while striving to develop cooling technologies applicable to industry and to train specialized research personnel.
