논문 초록 (Abstract)

명대의 왕학좌파 사상가 이지가 저술한 ⟪孫子參同⟫은 매우 특별한 병가서이다. 이 책은 ⟪손자병법⟫ 원문에 조조의 주석을 부기하고 자신의 평론을 더한 뒤 ⟪武經七書⟫에서 ⟪손자병법⟫을 뺀 다른 6종 병가서에서 골라낸 관련 내용을 ‘參考’라는 명목으로 첨부한, 이지 특유의 편집으로 엮은 병법 해설서였다. ⟪손자참동⟫의 내용을 중심으로 본고는 이지의 병가 사상을 크게 세 부분으로 서술하였다. 첫 번째는 전쟁이란 무엇인가에 대한 본질론으로, 이지의 설명을 통해 전쟁의 정의를 밝혔다. 전쟁의 발발은 충분한 군사력과 경제력이 갖춰져야 가능하다는 '兵食不二'론과 병가의 전략론에 유가의 명분론을 결합시킨 '仁義一原'론이 주된 내용이 다. 두 번째는 전쟁의 방법론으로, 이지는 전통적인 전략전술에 유가와 불교의 요소를 더한 독창적 해석을 내놓았다. 전쟁의 승리, 그것도 양측 모두 피해가 없는 완벽한 승리를 위해서는 仁義의 바탕에 궤도를 적절히 활용하는 '仁詭兼用'론을 주장하며, 그 한 수단인 간첩 역시 불가결한 요소라고 하였다. 모든 인간적 요인을 초월한 장군의 담담한 심리상태가 승리의 비결임을 주장한 '談兵如禪'론은 통찰력의 중요성을 불교의 '禪定'을 활용해 설명한 것이다. 세 번째는 전쟁의 주체인 장수와 군주에 관한 논단으로 장수의 품성과 리더십에 관해 설명했고, 아울러 전쟁과 정치의 관계를 논하면서 개인의 명철보신을 강조하기도 했다. ⟪손자참동⟫은 ⟪손자병법⟫의 해설서로 출발한 책이지만 빼어난 문장과 ⟪무경칠서⟫를 아우르는 종합적 서술로, 병가의 진수가 무엇인지 보여주는 이상적인 병가서라 할 수 있다. ⟪SunziCantong⟫, written by LiZhih, a Wang school's left-wing thinker scholar in the Ming Dynasty, is an unusual book of military thought. In this book, after adding CaoCao's commentary to the original ⟪the Art of War⟫ and adding his own reviews, and attaching related contents selected from six other military books excluding The Art of War in the name of reference. Focusing on the contents of SunziCantong, this paper describes LiZhih's idea of militay thought in three parts. The first is the essential theory of what war is, and the definition of war is revealed through LiZhih's explanation. The main content is the theory of military and economy can't divide, which states that the outbreak of war is possible only when sufficient military and economic power is equipped, and the theory of One origin of Benevolence and righteousness, which combines the strategist's theory with the theory of justification of Confucianism. The second is the methodology of warfare, and LiZhih came up with an original interpretation that added elements of Confucianism and Buddhism to traditional strategic tactics. In order to win the war, and also to achieve a perfect victory without damage from both sides, he insisted on the theory of Combined use of right way and deceit that properly utilizes orbits on the basis of justice, and said that espionage, one of the means, is also an essential element. The theory of Commanding an army is alike meditation, which claimed that the general's calm psychological state, which transcends all human factors, is the secret to victory, explained the importance of insight using Buddhism's meditation。 The third is a discussion about the general and the monarch, the main subjects of war, explaining the character and leadership of general, and also emphasized the understanding of the Sagacious self-protectionism while discussing the relationship between war and politics. SuntzuCantong is the book that starts with a guidebook of Suntzu’s Art of War, but it is an excellent sentence and a comprehensive description that encompasses Seven Military Classics, which can be said to be an fine military book to show what the essence of military thought is.
