논문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 4·19 재현소설에 혁명의 숭고함과 함께 나타나는 혐오스러움, 부패와 오물, 비린내와 비루함, 비명과 광기, 침묵과 파괴, 배변행위에 대해 분석하고 대항품행의 서사화라는 관점에서 의미매김할 것이다. 자유당 정권 하 부정적인 현실은 「너는 뭐냐」 등에서 부패한 냄새로 서사화된다. 반면 「대열 속에서」 등에서 시위의 현장은 청년-학생이 흘리는 뜨겁고 붉은 피로 환기된다. 이는 4·19를 학생 영웅의 숭고함으로 고착하는 것이기에 문제적이다. 그러나 「꿰매입은 양복바지」 등에서 희생자의 피는 숭고함보다 벌거벗은 생명의 비루함으로 나타난다. 4·19를 주권 권력의 폭력에 노출된 벌거벗은 생명으로서 포착하는 서사들은 「무너진 극장」에서 보듯 모든 규율에 대한 파괴와 저항으로서 순수한 폭력, 영구혁명의 요구로 나아간다. 4·19 재현 서사 속 무질서와 침묵, 무위, 백치의 연행과 위악성, 비루함의 과장 등은 통치술에 대한 품행상의 저항을 서사화한 것이라 하겠다.
