논문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 이광수의 (우화) 장편소설 『천안기』를 분석하고 이광수 소설의 변모 속에서 그 의미와 가치를 재고하려 한다. 『천안기』에서 동등한 생명가치를 주장하는 하위주체 파리의 눈으로 발견되는 대상은 황주사와 떡덩이 영감 부부와 같은 보잘 것 없지만 드러나지 않는 공덕을 쌓은 못난 영웅이다. 이러한 못난 영웅의 세계란 1920년대 이광수가 강조하는 도덕적 수양의 의미와 결부된다. 못난 영웅을 그리는 이광수의 문제의식은 『마의태자』와 『단종애사』로 이어지며 ‘재승박덕’한 세계 속 소멸해가는 의기에 대한 비극적 서술로 이어진다. 『천안기』는 미물 파리와 희생자 여성의 시선을 통해 하위주체의 목소리를 드러내며, 세태에 대한 충실한 보고와 공감을 유도하는 서사를 보여준다. 『천안기』가 다루고자 했던 다양한 세태의 관찰과 못난 영웅에 대한 보고는 『군상』이나 『흙』 등으로 이어진다. 그러나 40년대 이광수가 도달한 지점은 생명의 가치에 입각해 하위주체의 목소리를 빌려 못난 영웅의 세계에 공감하는 것이 아니라 일본어 소설 「파리」에서 드러나듯 파괴의 가치에 입각해 파리 박멸이라는 서사 속에 전쟁 참여를 독려하는 것이 되고 만다. This study aims to analyze Yi, Kwang-su's fable novel, 「Cheon-an-gi : A fly's documents」 and reconsider it's meaning and value from the variation of his novels. In 「Cheon-an-gi : A fly's documents」, though just a subaltern, the fly which asserts the right of an equal life discovers feeble stupid-heros who posses hidden virtues. These stupid heros show the meaning of moral cultivation which Yi, Kwang-su emphasized in 1920s. His awareness of the issues on syupid-hero moved to a tragical narration about disappeared heroism in a selfish age like 「Prince Maui」 and 「A sad story of Tanjong」. 「Cheon-an-gi : A fly's documents」 shows a sympathy narration which enrich reports to the social conditions from the viewpoint of subaltern like a trifle fly and a victim woman. The reports to various social conditions and a stupid-hero was continued to 「A large group of people」 and 「Earth」 etc.. But in 1940s, Yi, Kwang-su arrived at the point that not sympathizes with the value of stupid-heros with employing a subaltern's voice but encourages participation in war with the value of destruction like 「A fly」 written with Japanese, which narrates about extermination of flies.
