논문 초록 (Abstract)

본고는 여성주의가 우리 근대 소설 연구에 어떻게 적용되고 어떤 다양성과 가치를 모색해 왔는가를 특히 새로운 근대적 자아의 탐색 과정이라는 측면에서 비판적으로 검토하며, 향후여성주의 문학 연구가 무엇을 지향해야 하는지를 생각해 보고자 한다. 여성주의는 남성의 권위와 권력을 보다 중요하게 생각하는 이데올로기에 반대하는 또 하나의 이데올로기이다. 한국근대소설 연구에서 여성주의의 방법은 이성중심, 서구중심, 남성중심으로 서술되어온 기존의 문학사를 여성재현의 관점에서 다시 읽고, 상대적으로 소외되어온 여성작가의 텍스트를 적극적으로 의미매김하는 작업으로 이루어져왔다. 본고는 이러한 여성이미지 비평과 여성중심비평의 공과를 나름대로 인정하는 가운데 각각 남성적 자아 구축의 섬세한 과정 해명, 여성적 글쓰기와 남성적 글쓰기의 차이가 가진 개연성 등에서 문제를 제기해 보았다. 보다 발전적인 여성주의 문학연구 방법은 개별적인 타자성의 의미를 적극적으로 재해석하고 환상성, 히스테리, 동성애, 사디즘, 마조히즘, 죽음충동, 우울증, 취미와 패션 등과 같은 감추어진 영역을 다양하게 주제화함으로써 가능하리라고 본다. This study aims to examine how feminism has been applied at the study of korean modern novels and has groped about the variety and the value specially at the process of the search on the new modern self. And this study aims to grope what is the aim of the feminist study about the korean modern literature. Feminism is an ideology opposed to the ideology that regards man's position and power has more gravity than woman's. In the study on korean modern novels, feminism has rereaded the existing literary history at the point of representation about woman, which been described at the point of rationality, the West and man, and has graded woman writer's works been alienated. This study raises a question at the examination delicate process of modern man's self construction and at the probability of the difference between woman writing and man writing, while recognizes the result that the criticism on woman image and the criticism on woman focus have obtained. For prosperity of feminist literary theory, we actively reexamine the meaning of individual otherness and focus on the subject like fantasy, hysteria, homoeroticism, sadism, masochism, death impulse, melancholy, taste and fashion, which has been alienated in existing literary history.
