This paper deals with the effective analysis method of current information of wound field synchronous motor (WFSM) for electr ic vehicle in order to have high efficiency in driving range. Current information for inverter is divided into three parameters of field current as well as d-axis and q-axis currents of stator wind ings. First, the search method ofcurrent information is showed by separating control regions of constant torque and constant power with e ach operation point. Finally, efficiency map of whole driving ra nge having high efficiency is proposed by using analyzed current inform ation.
