논문 초록 (Abstract)
Demand-responsive transit (DRT), which offers flexible and efficient mobility, is gaining attention from many local governments seeking to revitalize regional tourism. Although research on optimizing flexible DRT service designs has been accumulating rapidly, few studies have analyzed satisfaction levels and their influencing factors by purpose of DRT use at tourist destinations. Drawing on a user satisfaction survey conducted for Yongin City's tourism DRT project in 2024–2025, this study identified the effects of service factors by type of DRT use on overall satisfaction and examined whether individuals' socioeconomic characteristics and various daily travel patterns amplified or diminished these effects. The analysis revealed the following: First, the service factors influencing overall satisfaction included those related to public transportation, DRT convenience, and DRT inconvenience. Second, the service factor with the greatest influence on overall satisfaction was users' satisfaction with the characteristics common to both public transportation and DRT. Third, the user satisfaction and dissatisfaction factors specific to DRT also had a substantial influence on overall satisfaction. Fourth, the analysis of the moderating effects of personal characteristics showed that gender, frequency of cultural activities, and frequency of social activities moderated the effects of the service factors common to public transportation, while age moderated the effect of the DRT convenience factors. Overall, the type-specific service factors were the dominant determinants of overall satisfaction with tourism DRT use, whereas the moderating effects of personal characteristics were confirmed only to a limited extent. These findings suggest that for DRT services at tourist destinations, which constitute a new mode of transport, priority should be given to improving the fundamental services of both public transportation and DRT, while differentiated services are additionally provided according to a few key personal characteristics such as age, gender, and the frequency of different types of daily activities.
