논문 초록 (Abstract)

Algal Growth Potential Test using Microcystis aeruginosa with the effluent from each water treatment process (i.e., treated sewage, coagulation and filtration, ultra filtration after coagulation and filtration, and reverse osmosis after coagulation, filtration and ultra filtration, respectively) in wastewater reclamation and reuse pilot plant were conducted to evaluate the feasibility for recreation water reuse. As the advanced water treatment unit processes were added, both AGP values and nutrient concentrations were decreased significantly. Due to the greater removal efficiency of phosphorus concentration, the N/P ratio increased after water treatment process in a series, indicating that the phosphorus concentration can be the limiting factor for algal growth. Especially, soluble reactive phosphorus concentration is the most important limiting factor to eutrophication, regardless of water treatment process. Consequently, the suitable and economical water treatment processes to control soluble reactive phosphorus concentration are required to prevent algal bloom and eutrophic state in water body for the recreation purpose.
