Korean manufacturing industry, responsible for approximately 51% of the production volume of 2008, has a large ripple effect on the Korean economy. The examination and statistics of productivity is essenti al task for management of performance and effectiveness in manufactur ing. So, there are a lot of reports and studies about productivity in e very year. However, this result cannot show what to do in shop-floor. I n this manner, there is a need to check a relation between productiv ity and managed data in shop-floor. Especially, Korean manufacturing industry is composed mostly of small and mid-sized companies, an dso productivity management has been conducted by collected data and indicator in manufacturing sites. Therefore, this paper aims to investigate a suitable productivity index considering the facto rs that have a direct impact on productivity for all enterprise managem ent activities. The goal is to derive obscure but site-oriented and practical factors for management. The results suggest that ther e is a need to manage shop-floor measurement data due to affecting by manufacturing productivity. © 2012 American Scienti fic Publishers. All rights reserved.
