논문 해외 국제전문학술지(SCI급) High-rate propane feeding with H2 for accelerated assessment of propylene productivity of PtZn catalyst supported on mesoporous zeolite

논문 초록 (Abstract)

Recent studies on Pt-based alloy catalysts show increasing potential for continuous operation of propane dehydrogenation without cumbersome regeneration. Measurement of catalyst lifetimes can require more than several weeks of continuous reactant flow. To accelerate the evaluation process, we investigated propylene productivity while changing the weight hourly space velocities (WHSVs) of propane feeding over a wide range of 5–200 h−1, for Pt0.5%/SiO2, Pt0.5%Sn0.5%/γ-Al2O3 and Pt0.3%Zn0.3%/SiO2. The result indicated that the total propylene productivity, which was the cumulative propylene quantities produced until the catalyst was completely deactivated, remained unchanged for the same catalyst, despite a 7-fold variation in WHSV. This was taken into account for rapid assessment of the H2 co-feeding effects for a Pt0.3%Zn0.3% catalyst supported on mesoporous zeolite.
